ZapZap API updates and release notes

What changed in the dashboard, no fluff: how it was before, how it works now and what you gain. The most recent come first.

Connection link: your customer connects WhatsApp alone

Send a link so your customer can scan the QR code or use the code, without accessing your account.

    Now:
You generate a link with an expiry and, if you want, a password. Whoever opens it sees a simple page to connect the number by QR code or pairing code, with no account to create and no access to your dashboard. On every use, the dashboard records what happened.

Tracking for ads that lead to WhatsApp

Find out which ad each lead came from and send conversions to Meta straight from WhatsApp.

    Now:
When a lead arrives through a click-to-WhatsApp ad, ZapZap stores the full origin: ad, creative and click identifier. Funnel events are sent to the Meta Conversions API, and the Tracking tab shows campaigns, leads and the history of the events sent, with audience export.

Queued sending with a typing indicator

Every action on your number goes through an ordered queue, with human pauses and a typing notice.

    Now:
The actions of each number enter a queue that runs them one at a time, at a pace you can follow and adjust. Before messages, the recipient sees that you are typing, including for sends made through the public API, and typing time follows the length of the text.

Several API keys, one for each integration

Create named keys for each system and revoke one without breaking the others.

    Before:
Each account had a single key and secret pair, used by every integration.
    Now:
You create as many keys as you need, each with a name, for example Zapier, n8n or your own system. Revoking one does not affect the others, and revoking asks for your password. The secret appears at creation and can be viewed again for a short window.

Marketer and Doorman: automation for WhatsApp groups

Post to several groups in rotation and spread new members across launch groups.

    Now:
The Marketer creates routines that publish campaigns to several groups in rotation, with intervals between them, messages with media and buttons and a history of what was sent. The Doorman provides a public link that sends each person to the group that still has room, for launches with many participants. Both modules are in a testing phase.

Family link: one link for several numbers

Share a single link and each new contact lands on one of the connected numbers in your family, in rotation.

    Now:
Each family gets a public link that opens a WhatsApp chat. The link spreads contacts across the connected numbers of the family, one at a time, and counts clicks in real time. You can customize the message that appears ready for the customer to send.

Connect WhatsApp with a code, no QR scan

Generate a pairing code and type it on your phone to connect the number, with nothing to scan.

    Before:
In the dashboard, a number could only be connected through the QR code.
    Now:
You can now also connect with a pairing code. The dashboard shows the code with a 2-minute timer and a progress bar, and tells you when it expires so you can generate another one.

Guardian: automatic rules and moderation for groups

Set rules for a group and let the Guardian warn, caution and remove people who break them.

    Now:
The Guardian follows group messages in real time and applies the rules you create, with custom words, links and patterns. It escalates from a notice to a warning and then removal, and the message for each step is written by you. It is available in a testing phase.

Affiliate program with wallet and withdrawals

Refer ZapZap API and earn commission on the deposits of the people you bring in.

    Now:
Every affiliate has a dashboard with a wallet, referrals, commissions and a withdrawal request. Referrals are recorded through your link or the coupon entered at sign-up, and commission is calculated automatically when the referred customer makes deposits.

Campaigns with buttons, lists, media and parallel sending

Send interactive campaigns, estimate the time before uploading your list and duplicate what already worked.

    Now:
Campaigns accept reply, link, call and copy-text buttons, plus lists and media. A family of numbers sends in parallel, a calculator shows how long sending will take before you upload the list, and you can duplicate a campaign with all its settings and edit a paused campaign.

Campaigns with pacing, limits and automatic pause

Pacing presets, limits by number age, pause after failures and a risk panel before you send.

    Before:
The default pace of campaigns was 5 to 15 seconds between messages, aggressive for most numbers.
    Now:
You pick one of three ready-made paces: Conservative, Moderate and Fast. Sending respects hourly and daily limits that depend on the age of the number, shows that it is typing before each message, shuffles the order of contacts and pauses by itself after three failures in a row. A risk panel warns you before you start, and a button stops everything instantly.

Prorated refund when you delete a number

Paid days you did not use go back to your balance when you delete a number.

    Before:
A refund depended on a fixed window of hours after creation. After that window, deleting a number returned nothing, even with paid days left.
    Now:
When you delete a number, the dashboard calculates how many days of the paid period were not used and returns that amount to your balance. The entry appears in your statement as a refund. The activation fee is not refunded.
