Group join and leave history inside the conversation
Who joined, who left and what changed in the group now appears inside the conversation, in the order it happened.
Create my accountHow it was before
Group events such as joins, leaves and name changes did not show up in the panel. To understand what had happened you had to open the WhatsApp app.
How it works now
Joins, leaves, removals, admin changes, and name and description changes appear as discreet lines inside the conversation. Several events in a row are grouped, for example "Alex and 12 others joined".
What you gain
- Full group context without leaving the panel
- A timeline in the real order of events
- Events in a row are grouped so the chat stays readable
What appears in the conversation
- Who joined and who left the group
- Who was added or removed
- Admin changes
- Changes to the group name and description
How it is shown
Each event becomes a discreet line among the messages, in the order it happened. When several people join in a row, the panel merges them into one line so the conversation stays easy to read.
Who benefits most
If you run communities and customer groups, you now get the record of what changed in the group in the same place as the messages.
